Comps Last updated: August 26, 2026

Comps is operated by Khoi Le, a sole proprietor based in California, United States. By downloading or using Comps, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.

What Comps does

Comps lets you photograph an item and see what similar items are currently listed for on online marketplaces. It shows you those listings so you can check the numbers yourself.

The prices are estimates

This is the most important thing in these terms, so it comes first.

Comps shows estimates, not appraisals, guarantees, or professional valuations. The numbers come from listings that are currently for sale, which are asking prices, not confirmed sale prices. What an item actually sells for can be higher or lower, sometimes much higher or lower.

Comps can also identify an item incorrectly. Two products can look nearly identical in a photo and be worth very different amounts. When we're not confident, we try to say so, but we can be confidently wrong.

You are responsible for your own buying and selling decisions. Use Comps as one input, check the listings we show you, and do your own research before spending money. We are not liable for money lost on a purchase or sale you made after using the app.

Subscription and billing

Comps requires a paid subscription.

Plans: a monthly plan and an annual plan. Current prices are shown in the app before you subscribe.

Free trial: the annual plan includes a 7-day free trial for new subscribers. If you don't cancel before the trial ends, your subscription begins and you'll be charged the annual price.

Automatic renewal: subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it ends. Your Apple account is charged at confirmation of purchase and at each renewal.

How to cancel: manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple account settings, not in Comps. Deleting the app does not cancel your subscription.

Refunds: all purchases are handled by Apple. Refund requests go to Apple, following Apple's refund policy. We can't issue refunds directly.

Price changes: if we change prices, existing subscribers will be notified before the change takes effect, as Apple requires.

Your account

You need an account to keep your scans across devices. Keep your login secure. You're responsible for activity under your account. You can delete your account in Settings at any time.

Fair use

Please don't:

We may limit or end access to accounts that do these things. We apply an automated limit on scan volume to prevent abuse. Normal use will never hit it.

Listings and third-party sites

When you tap a listing, you leave Comps and go to that marketplace's website. We don't control those sites, don't verify listings, and aren't responsible for what happens there, including whether a listing is accurate or a seller is honest.

What's ours

The Comps app, its design, its name, and its content belong to us. You may use the app, but you may not copy, resell, or redistribute it.

The photos you take are yours. By scanning, you give us permission to process them to give you a result, as described in our Privacy Policy.

Availability

We aim to keep Comps working but can't promise it will always be available or error-free. Comps depends on outside services, and those services can change or go down. We may add, change, or remove features.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, Comps is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including lost profits or money lost on transactions.

Where liability can't be excluded, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

Some jurisdictions don't allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

Ending access

You can stop using Comps at any time and delete your account. We may suspend or end access if these terms are violated. If we end your access without cause, you can request a prorated refund through Apple.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to conflict of law rules.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If a change is significant, we'll notify you in the app. Continuing to use Comps after a change means you accept the updated terms.

Apple

These terms are between you and us, not Apple. Apple isn't responsible for Comps or its content. Apple has no obligation to provide support for Comps. Apple is a third-party beneficiary of these terms and may enforce them against you.
